One person was killed in a high-speed, three-vehicle collision on state Route 138 in an unincorporated area west of Lancaster Friday evening.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at approximately 9:07 p.m. to the westbound state route and 250th Street West where they found the victim and the vehicles in multiple lanes of the roadway, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The gender, age or name of the victim were not immediately known.
The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed both directions of the state route for several hours.
