A third-alarm fire wrought $1.5 million worth of damage to a single-story industrial strip center in Westminster, where a firefighter was injured battling the blaze, authorities said Sunday.
Firefighters dispatched about 2:50 p.m Saturday to the 15000 block of West State Street “achieved a rapid knockdown,” the Orange County Fire Authority reported, adding that the blaze triggered a second and then a third alarm due to the “volume” of the fire.
A firefighter battling the fire was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital for an undisclosed “medical condition.” His condition was not known.
The fire wrought $1 million dollars to the structure and $500,000 worth of damage to its contents.
A cause of the fire was under investigation.
