Authorities Wednesday arrested a man suspected of setting several small vegetation fires in the Boyle Heights area.

The fires were reported between about 7 and 7:30 a.m. along the 1300 to the 2000 blocks of Cesar Chavez Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported, according to the LAFD, which sent teams of plainclothes investigators into the area to look for the suspect.

According to Fox11, a man riding a bicycle was being sought for setting the fires.

A man in his 40s was arrested as a suspect in the case, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. His name was not immediately available.
