The body of a 45-year-old man was found within a dirt embankment of a freeway in Buena Park, prompting a homicide investigation, authorities said Wednesday.
Officers responded at 3:35 p.m. Sunday to the Knott Avenue on-ramp of the eastbound Artesia (91) Freeway to a report of a body, later identified as La Habra resident Victor Fregozo-Alcaraz, within a dirt embankment, which prompted the California Highway Patrol Border Division Major Crimes Unit to conduct a homicide investigation, authorities said.
Anyone with information regarding Fregozo-Alcaraz’s death was urged to call the CHP Border Division Investigative Service Unit Major Crimes Unit at 657-391-4017 or Investigator Joaquin Gill at 714-240-3754.
