A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two cars in South Whittier, authorities said Thursday.
The fatal crash happened around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Marquardt Avenue and Imperial Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim died at the scene, according to the CHP. No information regarding the gender or age of the person was released. An identification will not be made until the next of kin is notified.
There no word yet as to whether either driver was cited by authorities. The intersection was temporarily shut down for the death investigation, the CHP reported.
