Flames consumed a small structure in front of a single-family Highland Park home Saturday but firefighters kept them from spreading to the house.
The fire was reported at 3:29 p.m. Saturay at 5916 E. York Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.
Firefighters had the flames out in nine minutes, with no injuries reported, Prange said.
