A man was shot and killed at Peacock Place across from Crypto.com Arena Tuesday evening and another person was wounded, according to a broadcast report.
Officers responded to the entertainment venue formerly known as LA Live around 6:15 p.m. to a report regarding shots fired, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
An unidentified male victim was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead, police said.
The second victim sustained a graze wound, KCAL reported.
A male suspect fled the scene in a white Honda, which police believe may be an SUV.
The motive leading up to the shooting was unclear, and police were continuing their investigation Tuesday evening.
