A man in his 50s was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Northridge Wednesday evening.
Paramedics responded to the 8900 block of Corbin Avenue, between Bahama and Nordhoff streets, around 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, “to assess the man, only to find he was beyond medical help,” Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
It was unclear what led to the collision. The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner were conducting an investigation Wednesday evening.
