Pomona police cited 26 drivers for driving without a license or with a suspended or revoked license during a driving under the influence and driver’s license check operation Saturday in Pomona.
The checkpoint was conducted between 9 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday at Holt and Union avenues, said the Pomona Police Department Traffic Services Bureau.
In addition to the 26 cited drivers, eight vehicles were towed. A total of 780 vehicles were screened during the checkpoint.
In 2022, the department investigated 95 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and 38 injured victims, according to the traffic bureau.
