Firefighters extinguished a fire with heavy flames at a one-story commercial building Saturday in the South Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 4:58 a.m. and fire crews responded to 5015 S. Broadway and 51st Street where they were able to prevent the fire from extending to an adjacent one-story commercial building, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
It took more than 70 firefighters 30 minutes to knock down the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
