A 35-year-old man suspected of managing an illegal indoor marijuana growing operation has been arrested, authorities said.
Deputies from the San Jacinto Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant Friday night at the suspect’s residence in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
During the search, authorities allegedly recovered 135 marijuana plants, 2.38 pounds of processed marijuana, 4.1 grams of hash, .44 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and five firearms including an unregistered .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol.
Jonathan Crowell of San Jacinto was arrested without incident and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning with bail set at $25,000.
According to Sgt. Matt Posson, Crowell was stealing electricity from Southern California Edison to run his marijuana operation.
