A three-story house in the framing and wrapped stage of construction in Encino burned for nearly three hours Friday before the blaze was knocked down with no reported injuries.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey,133 firefighters arrived at the 15800 block of Royal Oak Road, near Sepulveda Boulevard, around 2:40 p.m. Friday regarding a well-involved structure fire on the second and third floors.
There were no reported evacuations and that the flames were battled by air and ground, Humphrey said.
It was unclear what sparked the fire, and the cause was under investigation.
