A 34-year-old man who was killed in a fiery, two-vehicle crash in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area of Los Angeles was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
The crash was reported at 10:41 p.m. Monday at 82nd Street and Compton Avenue, where Sergio Bernal Rubio was killed and three people were critically injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Los Angeles County firefighters who were called to the scene pronounced Rubio dead, firefighter Christian Reynoso told City News Service.
Paramedics took the injured patients to Los Angeles General Medical Center, he said.
