Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze in a single-story residential building in Sun Valley Tuesday, with no injuries reported.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange, 34 firefighters responded around 1:20 p.m. to the fire in the 7300 block of North Vineland Avenue. The fire was burning in a single-family home that had been converted into a triplex, which was vacant.
“Crews initiated an aggressive interior fire attack with a coordinated vertical (rooftop) ventilation to extinguish the flames,” Prange said in a statement.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
