A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy with the Palmdale station was involved in a three-vehicle crash Saturday in that city.
The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Palmdale Boulevard, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The deputy in a westbound patrol car struck the rear of a vehicle, pushing it slightly into oncoming traffic, where it clipped an eastbound vehicle, Koerner said.
Two people in the eastbound vehicle complained of pain and were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, he said. The deputy was also taken to a hospital for treatment of “non-significant injuries.”
A news videographer at the scene said the patrol vehicle rear-ended a Honda Accord, sending it into the path of a Honda Pilot SUV.
