Firefighters knocked down a fire Sunday at an abandoned two-story fourplex in Westlake that was built in 1900.

Firefighters dispatched at 9:10 a.m. Sunday to 1539 W. Cambria St., near Seventh Street and South Union Avenue, had the blaze extinguished in just over 40 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

No injuries were reported. A cause of the fire was under investigation.
