A 28-year-old man who was fatally shot in an unincorporated area near Compton was identified Monday.
Eric Ruffins of Carson died in the shooting that occurred around 4:50 p.m. Friday in the 15600 block of Atlantic Avenue, one block north of Alondra Boulevard, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau and Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
There was no immediate information about a suspect or possible motive for the shooting.
