A 29-year-old pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on an on-ramp of the Santa Ana (5) Freeway near Santa Fe Springs was identified Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Bryan Stewart. Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 5:18 a.m. Wednesday to the southbound freeway and the Florence Avenue on-ramp where they found the victim, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The CHP issued a SigAlert and closed the Florence Avenue on-ramp to the freeway.
