A body was pulled from the ocean Friday off the coast of Manhattan Beach.
The grisly discovery was made by a lifeguard near the 2200 block of The Strand around 8:30 a.m., according to reports from the scene.
There was no immediate word from police on the gender and age of the victim or the cause of death.
