Police Friday are continuing their investigation of the fatal shooting of a man in a residential neighborhood in Santa Monica.
The shooting occurred about 10:25 a.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of 29th Street, near Ocean Park Boulevard, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
“Officers located one victim who has been transported to a local hospital,” police said in a statement, announcing later that the man had died.
Video from the scene showed police closely examining a dark-colored car parked on the street and officers found bullet holes in the driver’s side window, CBS 2 reported.
Police said the suspect is still at large and there is no suspect information.
Investigators closed the surrounding area near 29th Street while the investigation was conducted.
