Homicide detectives Tuesday are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Pomona.
Pomona Police Department officers were called at 11:56 p.m. Monday to the 900 block of West Holt Avenue, west of North Hamilton Boulevard, regarding a shots fired call. Upon their arrival, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, said Sgt. Rick Aguiar.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and took the victim to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, Aguiar said.
The department’s Major Crimes Unit is in charge of the investigation.
