Sprinklers held a fire in check on the fourth floor of a six-story West Hills medical center building Saturday.

The fire was reported at 2:43 p.m. Saturday at 7230 N. Medical Center Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.

Flames were showing from the fourth floor when firefighters arrived Prange said. “Firefighters found a small fire on the fourth floor of a medical center building, held in check by a fire sprinkler.”

It took the 46 firefighters 26 minutes to access the flames and put them out, and it was expected to take some time to clear the building of water and smoke, he said.

No injuries were reported.
