It took firefighters more than an hour to put out a fire at a one-story commercial building in Sun Valley, and one man was taken to a hospital for an unrelated condition, authorities said Sunday.
The fire at 7255 N. Clybourn Ave., north of Sherman Way, was reported at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, with flames burning through the roof, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
Paramedics transported a man from the scene to a hospital with a medical complaint not directly related to smoke or fire, officials added.
No firefighters were injured.
Prange said remote firefighting equipment would remain on the scene overnight to manage hotspots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
