A man was killed in a shooting in the city of Bell, and a homicide investigation was underway Monday.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of Bear Avenue, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound and unresponsive. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff officials said.
Information about suspects and motive was not available.
Homicide detectives went to the scene to look for leads and evidence, officials said.
