A fire that erupted Tuesday in a Menifee home caused significant damage, displacing the five occupants, all of whom escaped without injury.
The blaze was reported at 5:30 a.m. in the 27900 block of Jefferson Avenue, near Antelope Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered a single-story house “fully involved” with flames.
Firefighters battled the blaze for roughly a half-hour before fully containing it.
Damage to the property was extensive, making it unsafe for habitation, according to officials.
Red Cross personnel were requested to assist the five adults residing there with finding temporary alternate lodgings.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
