A woman suffered fatal injuries when struck by a car Friday in Costa Mesa.
Dolores Pliego, 61, of Costa Mesa, was struck by the vehicle just after 6 a.m. Friday at Adams Avenue and Pinecreek Drive, police said.
The driver who struck the victim remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. Police were investigating the cause of the collision, but no arrests were immediately made and speed was not considered a factor, police said.
