Two drivers were arrested at a DUI checkpoint in La Mirada, one for alleged drunk driving and one for being under the influence of drugs and drug possession, authorities said.
The DUI/license checkpoint was held from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at Imperial Highway west of Valley View , according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Four drivers were cited on suspicion driving while unlicensed and one for allegedly driving on a suspended license.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
