Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding two suspects in Long Beach who got out of a vehicle and fired shots into the air, authorities said Saturday.
Officers dispatched about 11:25 p.m. Friday to the area of 63rd Street and DeForest Avenue regarding a “shots” call located evidence, including bullet casings, that indicated a shooting had occurred, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“The preliminary investigation indicates two suspects exited a vehicle and discharged firearms in the air. The suspects fled in their vehicle prior to officers’ arrival,” according to a police statement.
