A man was in the hospital after he was shot while evicting a tenant from a house in the Vermont-Slauson area of Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 4408 W. 59th St., according to Officer A. Delatorre of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 52-year-old landlord was attempting to evict the man from the property when the man allegedly shot him with a handgun, Delatorre said.
The wounded landlord was taken to a hospital by paramedics and had stable vital signs, he said.
The suspect was at large.
