Orange County sheriff’s officials sought the public’s help Monday to find an 83-year-old woman who went missing in Laguna Woods.
Harriet Laura Schmitt was last seen around 1 p.m. Sunday near the Club 19 restaurant at El Toro Road and Moulton Parkway, according to the sheriff’s department.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert in hopes of raising awareness of her disappearance and generating tips leading to Schmitt.
She was described as 5-foot-3, 125 pounds with blonde/gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white sweater with a blue dress and black shoes, carrying a black purse.
