A person was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on a street in the Florence area of Los Angeles, and the driver did not stop.
The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Sundy at Avalon Boulevard and 81st Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar.
The vehicle was last seen southbound on Avalon, Cuellar said.
Descriptions were not available of the pedestrian or the suspect vehicle.
A crime scene investigation was underway with the body concealed by a canopy, he said.
