A man and a woman were killed in a fiery SUV crash early Tuesday in Altadena.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at around 1 a.m. to 64 West Loma Alta and Loma View Drive where they found an overturned vehicle engulfed in flames, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the pair dead at the scene.
They were identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as John Michael Ross, 29, of Altadena, and Emalie Marie Ortiz, 23, of Alhambra.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the pair were in a 2019 Audi Q5 driven by the Altadena resident, and the vehicle rear-ended a parked 2008 Volvo CX 90.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
