Authorities sought the public’s help Wednesday in locating a 20-year-old woman with mental health complications who requires medication.

Ashay Jayla Brinkley was last seen Monday at the Riverside Community Hospital moments before walking away from the facility after refusing medical assistance, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Detectives described Brinkley as a 5-foot-2-inch tall Black woman weighing 110 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. It was unclear what she was last seen wearing when reported missing.

The police department said in a statement, “Ashay lives in a group home facility near Seventh Street and Ottaway Avenue and is known to hang out in the Eastside neighborhood along University Avenue and in the parks nearby.”

Brinkley is under a conservatorship and suffers from various mental health conditions which require medication.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was urged to call the Riverside Police Department Public Safety Communications Center at 951-354-2007 and reference her name and case number 240006424.
