A 40-year-old man on a mountain bike was rushed to a trauma center Sunday after falling at the Haines Canyon Mountainway in the Sunland/Tujunga area, authorities said.
The bicyclist suffered a back injury, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched at 9:42 a.m. Sunday were able to hoist the bicyclist from the scene. An LAFD helicopter transported him directly to a regional trauma center.
