A man was fatally stabbed in the unincorporated Willowbrook area near Compton and sheriff’s deputies Wednesday are continuing their search for suspects.
Deputies from the Century Sheriff’s Station responded to the 11700 block of Wilmington Avenue, near 117th Street, around 2:27 p.m. Tuesday regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Upon their arrival, the deputies found the victim suffering from stab wounds, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There was no immediate word on a suspect or what may have precipitated the attack.
