A man was hospitalized Saturday after he was shot while walking in the Vermont-Slauson area of Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported about 4 p.m. Saturday at 59th and Figueroa streets, Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar told City News Service.
The man, believed in his 30s, was walking in the area when he was fired upon, Cuellar said.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where his vital signs were stable, the officer said.
