Firefighters knocked down a blaze in the rear of a commercial building housing a laundry and cleaners in Watts Sunday.
The fire at 9915 S. Compton Ave. was reported at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The department dispatched 44 firefighters who extinguished the flames in under half an hour, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was being investigated, he said.
