An 18-year-old man was killed when he drove a BMW into a light pole in Westminster and was ejected, police said Tuesday.
Officers responded to the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Vermont Street around 1:50 a.m. Sunday to a report regarding a single-vehicle traffic accident, Westminster Police Department Sgt. Eddie Esqueda said.
Orange County Fire Authority firefighters arrived at the location, where they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
His name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The Westminster Police Department Traffic Division was handling the investigation.
