Fire Saturday damaged a single-story home in Venice, authorities said.

Firefighters dispatched at 12:47 p.m. to 1700 S. Penmar Ave. had the blaze out within 27 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Firefighters utilized hose lines with vertical ventilation to quickly extinguish the flames and keep the fire from spreading vertically or horizontally, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
