Three people were arrested for driving under the influence and five were arrested for driving with a suspended/revoked license at a DUI/license operation Saturday in Palmdale.
In addition to the eight drivers who were arrested, 17 were cited for operating a vehicle without a license, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Information Bureau reported.
A total of 862 vehicles went through the checkpoint, which was held at Avenue R / 40th Street East from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes, according to the sheriff’s department.
