At least 75 firefighters Saturday evening waged a defensive battle against a major fire in a large, vacant commercial building in Glendora.

The fire was reported at 8:51 p.m. Saturday at 1332 S. Lone Hill Ave., Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Craig Little told City News Service. It is west of the Orange (57) Freeway and north of Gladstone Street.

At 9:05 p.m., the roof collapsed but all fire personnel were accounted for, Little said.

A second alarm was called at 9:20 p.m. and additional equipment was summoned after that, he said.

Broadcast video from overhead showed a large portion of the roof gone and the building well-involved in flames as firefighters worked to drown the inferno from ladder trucks and through open doors.

No injuries were reported, Little said.
