A person was found dead Wednesday in a Sun Valley residence after firefighters extinguished a fire at the rear of the single-story home.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said 30 firefighters responded to the fire in the 7500 block of North Craner Avenue around 4:05 p.m. Wednesday.
“During the course of the firefighting operations, one person was found deceased inside the home,” Prange said in a statement.
Firefighters remained at the scene Wednesday afternoon searching the rest of the home to determine if anyone else was inside.
It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and the cause was under investigation.
