Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was shot and killed in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at about 5 p.m. Tuesday near Vermont Avenue between Vernon Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Jonathan Orellana, 26, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. His city of residence was not known.
Detectives described the suspect as a man between 18 and 20 wearing a black hat, a white shirt, and tan or brown pants.
