A 38-year-old man who was riding a bicycle was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Wilmington and Friday the driver is on the loose.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Harbor Division were called at 8:45 p.m. Thursday to Wilmington Boulevard and G Street where they found the victim in the street near his bicycle, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the victim sped away from the scene in an unknown direction and did not stop to render aid. There was no vehicle description.
