Fifteen people suffered minor injuries when a tram crashed at Universal Studios Saturday evening.
The crash was reported around 9 p.m. Saturday, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Fred Fielding.
The injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment, Fielding said from the scene.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known and the California Highway Patrol was tasked with the investigation.
CHP Officer Sergio Garcia said the initial report was that the tram had overturned.
KCAL reported that Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigators believe that the crash may have been caused by a mechanical failure.
