A stolen vehicle suspect was engaged in an hours-long standoff with law enforcement Tuesday at the end of a pursuit in San Pedro.
The pursuit ended around 2:45 p.m. near First and Gaffey streets, but the motorist refused to exit the vehicle, prompting the standoff, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers were positioned behind and alongside the car late Tuesday afternoon.
It was not immediately clear where or when the pursuit began.
