A fire damaged a building that formerly housed a restaurant in the North Hollywood area Wednesday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 6400 block of North Lankershim Boulevard at 1:18 p.m. extinguished the flames in the single-story structure in 17 minutes, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
