A man appearing ready to jump from an overpass has backed up traffic for hours Thursday on the Santa Ana (405) Freeway in Huntington Beach.
Police were called about 2 p.m. Thursday about a man at the overpass on McFadden Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Duane Graham said.
Police shut down traffic in the southbound lanes and the toll lanes on the northbound side, Graham said. The closure will be in place indefinitely as authorities attempt to talk the man down.
