A suspect was taken into custody after a nearly three-hour standoff with law enforcement in Torrance Friday following a road rage dispute.
Officers responded to the 2500 block of Skypark Drive, near Crenshaw Boulevard, around 4:30 p.m. Friday to reports regarding a road rage encounter, according to the Torrance Police Department.
Police said the suspect failed to exit a recreational vehicle at the location but was negotiating with officers.
At least one armored police vehicle was parked in front of the RV, demobilizing it to prevent the suspect from driving off.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody around 7:11 p.m. without further incident, police said.
There were no injuries reported.
It was unclear what motivated the road rage altercation.
