A 40-year-old man suspected of two sexual assaults earlier this week in the Angeles National Forest remained in custody Wednesday as authorities sought additional possible victims.

Eduardo Sarabia was arrested Monday on suspicion of forcible rape and oral copulation and was jailed without bail in connection two alleged sexual assaults on Sunday and Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Based on the nature of the allegations, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

Investigators released a booking photo of Sarabia, along with pictures of a white cargo van believed to have been used in the attacks, in hopes of encouraging additional possible victims to come forward. The attacks allegedly occurred in the van while parking along state Route 39 in the national forest.
